You can find silica pearls all over the lake. There are no high-level dangerous creatures out there. If you’re at the beginning of the game, this is where you need to go. You’ll be able to find silica pearls and crystals all over the water. It can be found at coordinates 81.4 and 21.2. There is a huge lake located in the southwest of the island. So, you can also get some chitin from insects. It’s a good idea to bring a tame like megatherium. The back door opens into a large chamber with lots of insects in it. Once inside the castle, follow the main path to exit through the back door. It is located in the upper right corner of the Fjordur map. The castle can be found at coordinates 31.6 and 65.3. There’s also a castle you’ll want to go to get silica pearls. Once you get there, you can also catch some fish. The river will be at coordinates 20.1 and 68.8. You will be able to find silica pearls in small deposits similar to clam shells on the seabed. The Angler Fish is a fast moving silica pearl farming machine that will allow you to harvest loads of pearls quickly and efficiently. In this river on the island, you can find a lot of silica pearls. Silica pearls can be collected from the ocean. So it’s a pretty dangerous place to get silica pearls. Once you get there, you’ll see spinos roaming around. The first location is located at coordinates 22.1 and 65.6. You can find silica pearls in a few locations on the island. This resource is mainly used in the production of electronic items such as generators, refrigerators, and automatic turrets. You’re going to need a lot of silica pearls when it comes to electronics. It's also a great way to tame a sabretooth or direwolf if you want to as you can then just carry it back to your boat.In this ARK: Survival Evolved guide, I’ll show you where to find silica pearls on Fjordur. Bringing an Argent will allow you to fly up a little ways into the biome to find more stuff to kill and give you access to metal and oil nodes that spawn near the coast but are dangerous to reach on foot. Bringing an Anklyo to break up the rocks on the coast near the transition area will give you a crap-ton of flint and stone and reveal more pearls as well as give you access to more oil nodes.
I would recommend you have a smithy on the raft and bring weapons and kill some pelt-dropping animals while you are there (direwolves, mammoths, etc) and build fur armor as you collect enough pelts. It's colder, sure, but the pearls are much easier to spot at night. There is a spot where the North 3 spawn zone transitions to the arctic zone and where the cold starts and there are tons of pearls and some oil nodes on the shore. Sail towards it from the direction of Carno Island following the northern coast going east to west. If you don't have fur gear, wear hide and bring a lot of food, bring a raft with a couple beds, lots of standing torches overlapping their heat zones near the steering wheel and lots of wood so you can have a warm spot to regenerate health lost to hypothermia. One good thing about them is that they also give chitin and oil, which are also important resources.īest option is to gather along the coast in the arctic biome.
They are often on the shores or even in shallow water. The other best way to get them is from Trilobites, which can be found on many of the beaches around the entire map. The snow biome is shown in blue on this page: Even if you don't have fur armor, you could probably easily grab a bunch and get out before the cold hurts you too much. There are actually a lot of them you can harvest in the snow biome (that big white place on the map in the northwest). You can see them easily on those beaches in shallow water. What can i do to better prepare for diving deep? Is there a better way to get the mats i need?
Even using Lazarus Chowder i had a tough time getting all the way to the bottom of the ocean before i needed to head back up. I looked up the silica pearl locations on the Wiki page and tried diving for some. I'm at the stage now where I need to make lots of electronics and trilobytes are scarce for some reason.
